The Working Garden Project

is a nationwide effort to bring the benefits of nature and communal gardening to workplaces across the country.

Stress, disengagement, and turnover are very real pressures that affect employees and cost companies.

74% of employees struggle to disconnect from work.

A significant percentage of employees say their job negatively affects their mental and social well-being.

Many employees are considering leaving jobs that don’t support well-being.

Data from Deloitte Well-Being at Work Survey (2023) and WebMD Workplace & Employee Survey Results (2025)

We can do better.

Gardening and exposure to nature has shown reductions “in depression, anxiety symptoms, and stress”

and increases “in quality of life, sense of community, physical activity levels, and cognitive function.”

Which leads to more engagement, happiness,
and productivity.

Nature is
an answer.

We’re excited to bring these benefits to the workplace.

The working garden project.

We’re helping companies create nature programming and community garden spaces on their properties to bring well-being benefits to their employees.

Not a workshop or one-time seminar, we’re designing with long-term use and long-term benefits in mind.

The Garden Space
Based on your budget and space, we’ll advise and/or create your growing area.

Programming + Education
We’ll help your team get the most out of their garden and create more opportunities to connect with nature.

Seasonal Support
Quarterly check-ins are used to answer team questions and celebrate successes.

Our program is created around three core elements.

We’re working with up to 10 companies in 2026.

Reach out to tell us about your team and goals, and we’ll share all the ways we can help you.
